In Brevard County (Fla.), there is a rule on the books that says parent chauffuers of students to out-of-town games must pay $52 to get fingerprinted as part of a background check by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Coaches say this is hampering the number of parents who are volunteering to drive players to games, which especially is important for junior varsity and freshman games.
