Hofstra University unveils athletic facility upgrades
The Hofstra University Department of Athletics unveiled major facility upgrades to its three fall on-campus facilities as the University continues to make incredible infrastructure and physical improvements to better position its student-athletes for success on the fields of play.“We are so fortunate at Hofstra University to be surrounded by generous philanthropists, including the Brodliebs, Dempsters, Healys, and so many others, as well as our outstanding President and supportive senior administration,” commented Hofstra Vice President and Director of Athletics Rick Cole Jr.

The home of the Hofstra volleyball program saw dynamic new branding added to the east wall showcasing the members of the team as well as updated branding in other areas of the facility. The outside of the building was also painted, showcasing Hofstra’s blue and gold color scheme. In addition, new LED lighting was installed in the building and the interior ceiling was also painted throughout the complex.
Hofstra Soccer Stadium
The home of the men’s and women’s soccer programs had a new 16×25 video board installed, brand-new IRONTURF™ by Greenfields field installed, and updated and additional branding added to the facility. In addition, European-style soccer nets were also added to the complex.
The Brodlieb Family Sports Performance Center
The Brodlieb Family Sports Performance Center is a 3,500-square-foot strength and conditioning facility located in the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex that was renovated during the Spring of 2023. The renovations consisted of the installation of Advantage Fitness rubber flooring with 10 inlays, a new sound system, and several pin-loaded Power Lift machines.
