ASU’s Beach Volleyball Facility to be Ready by Spring 2022
The Sun Devil Beach Volleyball Facility was designed by Lloyd Sports + Engineering and is being built by Woodruff Construction. It will have four full courts fit to host NCAA beach volleyball competition and is on track to be ready to host beginning in the 2022 season.

With flexible seating, fans can bring their beach chairs to watch the action. The courts will also be available to host open tournaments, intramural sports, and other events and activities.
“We could not be more excited to have our home courts on campus,” head coach Brad Keenan said. “This would not be possible without the support of the university and our administration. The new courts show our administration’s commitment to the team’s success and will certainly help in recruiting future high-level student-athletes. We believe the design and sand that will be in the new facility will generate a true home-court advantage for us.”
The Sand Devils have been playing at PERA Club in Tempe since beach volleyball’s inception at Arizona State back in 2014. Since the program began, ASU has practiced and hosted games at the facility.

“We’d be remiss if we didn’t take this opportunity to thank our great friends at PERA Club for their tremendous support and hospitality over the past eight years,” said Scott Nelson, Senior Associate Athletics Director, Executive Director of the Sun Devil Club. “Their longstanding support of Sun Devil Athletics and the Sun Devil Club was never more evident than when they opened their doors to our Sand Devils in 2014. We can’t thank them enough and we look forward to continuing our longstanding relationship moving forward.”
In the fast-growing sport, ASU makes a big step by having a facility to host on campus. The Sun Devils are one of nine teams in the Pac-12 with a beach volleyball program.
