Davanzo is the I-Meck Conference vice president and serves on the North Carolina Athletic Directors Association board. He is the state chair for LTI 611. In 2018, he received the NCADA Citation Award. In June of 2018, he earned his CMAA. In his free time, Davanzo works as a leadership consultant for the George Mason University wrestling team's coaching staff.
