Cross Country Coach Says He Never Saw Vulgar Behavior

The West Catholic High School (Mich.) cross country season was canceled last year and the coach, Denny Scully, was fired after an investigation into the team found that 12 boys grabbed, poked and smacked teammates on the buttocks; slapped each other with their genitals; and urinated on one another’s leg. Scully says he didn’t know about any of the behavior and reported it within an hour of learning about it from a parent. With the investigation now complete, Scully would like to get back into West Catholic.
